Our gatherings cause me to mindfully create a framework for my week by first considering my schedule; setting goals; often breaking down big tasks to more manage able, bite-size pieces; and making sure that I am stretching myself in some way. In reviewing what I create, I am able to ensure there is balance in my
week and, in essence,
in my life.

About Us

Man can alter his life by altering his thinking.

~ William James

Our Culture

We do this together, with other people.

At the core, our process is about the power and possibilities of accountability and structure. We emphasize growth and stretching. We challenge each other to reach not just higher or for more for its own sake, but for what matters to us as individuals.

While our primary focus is work, we invite members to take a holistic view and include the other major parts of their life that are not work-related. We know first hand the importance of bringing balance into our lives. And, we strongly encourage our members to include FUN on their list of intentions.

The Weekly Meetings

Our groups meet for an hour-long phone call once a week at a regular, agreed-upon time. The weekly call is a priority on each member’s calendar. The calls start on time and end on time. After a short check in, each member has their own 10 minutes to talk. The member speaks without interruption and the others listen. This is followed by brief feedback in the form of peer coaching from the other members. Then, the next member takes their turn until we have gone around the circle.

Lawrence’s Story

I am a collaborator. I find support, energy, and inspiration from working in groups. The irony is that as a small business owner, I often work by myself and on my own schedule. That’s just one reason why my own peer support group is so important to me. I start each week with my group on Monday morning. I know from first hand experience the positive impact this process has on an ongoing basis. Everyone in my peer group is accomplishing more of what is important in their lives.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing you will be successful.

-Albert Schweitzer

About five years ago, I joined a group of consultants to meet once a week for breakfast to declare quarterly and weekly goals and to measure our individual progress. Gathering together, making goals, declaring commitments and then meeting again to discuss our progress pushed each of us to get into action and do more.

I have been an organizing member ever since. The groups have been invaluable to me. I have participated consistently over these years.

The impact has been huge. I have embraced several major changes in my life and credit this process with being a major contributor in helping bring these things to fruition. I started a successful business. I married a spectacular woman who, incidentally, I met only four months after I wrote my wish list for a life mate. We moved from New York City to downtown Chicago and the move has given us the better quality of life we envisioned.

Now, I have created Springboard Unlimited, LLC to share the benefit and amazing power of this process. I have dedicated myself to bring people together and enable them to create a container of trust, support and possibility so they can take the actions that will get them the results they want.
