About
Springboard Unlimited, LLC, was founded in 2006 to help organizations and individuals manage transitions with confidence and control. Based in Chicago, Illinois, Springboard offers services in three core areas: organizational talent management, one-on-one coaching, and peer group activities.
Founder and managing director Lawrence Hedblom leads Springboard's activities, bringing more than two decades of experience working in corporate, small business, and start up environments, five years of coaching and more than 10 years of peer group leadership.
Lawrence regularly draws on a network of talented professionals with expertise in different areas to best serve each client’s needs. This flexible approach allows him to assemble proven, collaborative teams for projects of any size or type.
Prior to becoming a certified coach, Lawrence worked in sales and marketing, with experience spanning marketing management roles with large companies such as Time Warner, Ziff Davis, and the Economist Group to smaller, more entrepreneurial dot-com start ups.
Lawrence earned his Certified Professional Co-Active accreditation through The Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and also completed CTI’s yearlong, intensive Leadership Development Program. He is also certified to administer the Campbell Leadership Index, a leading 360-assessment tool, and the LH-STEP, a powerful tool for assessing an individual’s potential for upward mobility.
In addition to his work with Springboard Unlimited, Lawrence is one of the Chicago-based executive coaches Lee Hecht Harrison calls on; LHH is a global company and a leading talent solutions provider.
Lawrence also sustains a number of volunteer roles in the coaching and human resource management community:
- Volunteer coach, speaker, and workshop leader with the Career Transitions Center
- Coaching practice leader (overseeing 35 volunteer coaches), strategic planning consultant, trainer, and workshop leader with the Executive Service Corp.
- Marketing director, board member, and committee chairperson for the Society of Human Resource Professionals (the Chicago chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management)
